Sapphire Scientific Engineering have 3D scanning and reverse engineering capabilities.

We start by scanning the model to “digitise” the component into a 3d model. Following scanning, the scanned date must be processed ready for CAD importing.

Next, we proceed to convert the imported 3D scan data to CAD allowing us to compare the output scanned model to the real world component – checking that completed features and key measurements of the scanned model match the real world scanned component.

Once these checks are complete, we can proceed to prototype approval and, once approved – further forward with the next processes with the approved scanned model.
